Mariposa RV

A quiet, design-forward glamping retreat set across 440 acres of private Sierra foothills near Yosemite. Thoughtfully renovated RVs and Airstreams blend modern comfort with expansive land, private trails, and uninterrupted views—offering a refined base for exploring the region and a peaceful place to return.

Mariposa Highlands is designed as a quiet, low-density retreat. Our setting, scale, and pacing are intentional and may not be the right fit for every traveler. Guests who appreciate privacy, open land, and a slower rhythm tend to find the experience especially rewarding.

The property spans 440 acres of natural Sierra foothills, where the land itself is part of the experience. Guests may encounter a small herd of miniature Highland cattle grazing across the property, along with free-ranging chickens that reflect the working rhythm of the land. These moments are unforced and observational—quiet encounters that feel authentic to the setting rather than staged.

Miles of private hiking and biking trails weave through the property, offering elevated views across foothills, lakes, and open valleys. Whether walking at sunrise or riding through golden-hour light, the landscape unfolds gradually, rewarding those who take the time to explore.

While each accommodation is fully appointed for comfort, the experience is rooted in landscape and setting rather than proximity to town conveniences. Evening skies are dark, nights are quiet, and wildlife is part of the environment.

We prioritize a peaceful atmosphere across the property. This is not a party destination, and gatherings, amplified music, or disruptive behavior are not permitted. Quiet hours are observed in the evenings to preserve the shared experience of stillness and night sky.

Weather, terrain, and seasonal conditions are part of the experience. Guests should expect natural ground surfaces, occasional dust, and changing conditions typical of a rural foothill environment. These elements are not curated away—they are part of the authenticity of the setting.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome with advance approval. A pet fee applies to support additional cleaning and land stewardship in a natural environment.

Cancellations follow a firm policy, reflecting the limited number of accommodations and the highly intentional nature of the experience. We recommend booking only when travel plans are certain.

Mariposa Highlands is best suited for guests seeking space, design, and a genuine connection to place—rather than traditional hotel amenities or a conventional campground experience.

Rates reflect the scale of the land, the privacy of each stay, and access to hundreds of acres of private trails and landscape.

You'll have one dedicated parking spot right next to your airstream, super convenient for unloading and settling in with ease.
