Perched above Capitola Beach on Depot Hill, Villa 4 — The Point is a design-forward, two-bedroom coastal residence with sweeping views across Capitola Village, Pleasure Point, Opal Cliffs, New Brighton and, on clear days, Monterey.

The setting is the real luxury. Wake up above the beach, walk into Capitola Village for coffee or dinner, spend the day surfing, swimming or exploring the coast, then return to a quieter perch above it all.

At approximately 1,000 square feet, Villa 4 is designed for up to four guests and feels more like a private coastal home than a typical vacation rental. The residence features Restoration Hardware furnishings, elevated finishes, a full kitchen, two bathrooms, in-home laundry and expansive ocean views from the ground floor.

Guests also enjoy access to the property’s shared ocean-facing deck with firepit, barbecue and teak dining table, as well as the pool, e-bikes, surfboards and beach chairs.

Capitola is small enough to explore on foot and interesting enough to keep discovering. From Grand Avenue, the beach and village are just below you. Walk down for coffee, surf in the morning, have lunch overlooking the water, browse the village, ride the coast or simply spend the afternoon on the sand.

A few minutes beyond Capitola, the landscape changes quickly. Santa Cruz, Pleasure Point, coastal bike routes, hiking and the redwoods are all close enough to become part of an ordinary day rather than a major excursion.

That proximity is one of the things that makes this part of California unusual: ocean, surf, food, wine, music, forests and coastal towns all packed into a remarkably small area.
